Your comments on forum site selection, spellcheck and grammar are very important for creating trust. I hope I have not messed this up LOL.

It takes a lot of guts to write anything about the importance of spelling and grammar because of the risk of making a spelling mistake while advocating the importance of not doing so:) I’ve done a couple of articles about this and got so anxious about spellchecking and proofreading. It’s not a topic I can handle writing about often. You seem to have nailed it though!

Most people it seems try to link to their web site in their signature file, but they don’t think of linking to their blog.

Of course, a blog needs lots of quality back links as well.

This is a really thorough article on blogging and forum posting.

I particularly like the part about making sure that your spelling and grammar is correct. Whenever I read a post that has spelling and grammar mistakes, that person’s credibility is lowered dramatically in my eyes.

This is a very good overall article on blog and forum posting.

I particularly agree with your point about making sure that your grammar and spelling is correct. When I read a post with a lot of typing and grammar errors, the credibility of that person is damaged for me.
